Our Mission
History
The Ube Throwdown has emerged as a central highlight of the vibrant culinary scene in Central Texas. Our journey began as a part of the inaugural Adobo Throwdown Cooking Competition and Food Expo, which took place on the weekend of October 23, 2022, in Schertz, Texas. Building on its initial success, the Ube Throwdown was featured again in the Adobo Throwdown Cooking Competition and Food Expo 2.0, held on August 5-6, 2023.
As we look forward to our next grand event, the Adobo Throwdown Cooking Competition and Food Expo 3.0 in August 2024, we are thrilled to celebrate Ube, crowned as the '2024 Flavor of the Year' by T. Hasegawa, a top 10 food and beverage manufacturer. This recognition not only highlights the unique appeal of Ube but also underscores its growing influence in the culinary world.
